President's Column
Hello Fellow and Lady Buzzards!
I hope everyone is having a great summer. It has been rather hectic around our household. I am looking forward to cooler weather myself.
We had several folks travel to Ft. Smith Arkansas for the 35th Annual Buzzard National Tournament, and everyone had a good time. The tournament went well and was handled with expert hands. Very few issues came up and this was a well run tournament. Kudos to Ray and his crew, they did and excellent job!!
If any of you are interested, the unofficial results are now posted on the Buzzard Club website @ http://buzzardclub.org. It looks like congratulations will be in order for several of our fellow and lady buzzards! 2 ladies in all events, 3 men in all events, 4 ladies in the top 30 in ladies singles, 1 man in men’s singles, and 1 team in the top 16 of the team event. This is a real good showing for our club. Well Done!!
Next year should be exciting for the Irving chapter as they will be the hosting chapter. The center is set up, the hosting hotel is setup and everyone in their group is excited about it.
I hope to see you all at Big Town Bowl Lanes this month on the 13th to try out the newly resurfaces lanes. I understand they are in very nice shape now. I am looking forward to trying them out myself. See you all there!
