Norma Crabb, one of our newest members, will not be able to bowl with us for about 12 -18 months. Norma broke her kneecap and had to have it operated on. We wish her the best of luck for a speedy recovery! Hope to see you back flying with the flock soon!

Jeff Visger has been a Buzzard Member for 19 ½ years and NEVER requalified! Hey Jeff, don’t know what the Buzzard Club is all about? Maybe we’ll see your name as King Buzzard this year!

We are losing one of members, Tracy Richardson. Tracy is moving to Reno and will no longer be bowling with us. We wish Tracy the best of luck in her new endeavor. Don’t forget about us, Tracy. You are welcome to come to any meetings and/or bowling tournaments whenver you are in town.

The Salvation Army shopping trip was a HUGE success! What an experience for those that attended! For those that didn’t, you missed a great time! The surprises just keep coming each and every year. Our club earned $400, which would have fed 17 families. We had personal donations from a few Buzzards totaling $150. While shopping, the Vice President of all the Minyards was there and donated another $50. This allowed us to shop for 27 families. The grand finale to it all was that the store received a shipment of bread for a promotion that didn’t take place, and they donated 100 loaves of Sunbeam bread. What a day of people giving time, money and food! What do you think next year will bring?

We had another fun month with our December Tournament being our Christmas Party. Lots of food was enjoyed while bowling. A special Christmas gift was given to all our members as lineage was paid for by the Club. A raffle was done, and each member received two raffle tickets and a goodie bag, which also had a ticket in it. Anyone who bowled a split was given a ticket for each split they bowled. At the end of bowling tickets were drawn for four lucky winners. Everyone bringing a gift exchange gift participated in the Strike Gift Exchange. A special thank you goes to Kay Lester and Dena Buffington for doing such a great job in putting together this fun-filled event! Good job ladies!

Ok folks, the time has come. It is election time again. We have the following people running for office: Sue Banfield – President; Steve Elich and Ed Block – Vice President; Marla Martin – Secretary; Don Banfield – Treasurer; and Parliamentarian – Open. Come on people, surely there is someone out there that can fill this position. Anybody who has been a member in good standing for at least one year is eligible to run. Let Bobbie Matievic know if you’re interested. This is for any position, not just Parliamentarian.
