February’s Tournament will be our requalification tournament. There are 17 lucky, eligible people that can participate for the money: Harmon Atkins; Sue Banfield; Ed Block; Sandy Carter; Steve Elich; Tamara Feuchtwanger; Danielle Frye; Robert Justis; Marla Martin; Bobbie Matievic; Barbara Peabody; Cherill Potts; Debbie Rawlinson; Debi Richardson; Roy Segura; Kim Seidel; and Jackie Stovall. Join us at AMF Hurst for the February meeting and tournament for full details on how this is going to work!
The fun just keeps coming! We did Crossovers for our January Tournament. Each person was able to get in the tournament with as many members of the opposite sex as they wanted to. The cost was $1.00 per person and eight places were paid. The winners were:

We started off with “old” officers receiving awards., followed by installation of the new officers, who were sworn in and presented with medals. Awards were given to the following people for the following categories:
Perfect Attendance - Harmon Atkins; Don Banfield; Sue Banfield; Ed Block; Marla Martin; and Bobbie Matievic.
Queen Buzzard – Bobbie Matievic with 53 splits
King Buzzard – Harmon Atkins with 54 splits
Most Members Brought In – Debi Richardson, who brought in five (5) people
Fallen Buzzards Award – High Men’s Series –Tom Burden with a 779 and High Women’s Series – Sue Banfield with a 774.
The Installation part of the day ended with a raffle while everyone sat around enjoying the delicious cake. The winners of the raffle were:

A great finale to the Installation Party was the “Luck of the Draw” Scotch Doubles Tournament. Three places were paid for this tournament. The winners were:
Tied for First Place - $96.95 per team:
Jack Chilson and Joeleen Brown – 710
Nancy Burden and Debi Richardson – 710
Third Place – $48.50 – Clata Dodd and Rustin Jones – 683
Honorable mention goes to Marla Martin and Don Banfield, who came in last place. Not only did they come in last place, nobody was even close to their series. Nice job Marla and Don!
