FOUNDED OCT 1961- ORGANIZED MAY 1963 FOUNDER - THOMAS E. WALTERS, JR
CHIEF BUZZARD ARLEN DEASON

"Let there be no strangers in the BUZZARD CLUB - Only friends that have yet to meet"

Hello Fellow Buzzards:

I wanted to let everyone know that I will not be at the June gathering so I need for you to help me out with getting any teams or double partners together. Check with Dennis if you need any help so we can get all those who want to bowl a slot. I have included some updated tournament information that Dennis wanted me to pass along. Please check with him if you are interested or have questions. If I leave out a birthday or anniversary or if the dates are wrong, please let me know so I can get that changed. That’s it for now, so on with bowling!!!

Minutes of Meeting:

Arlen opened the meeting and Barbara presented the treasurers’ report which passed. Five new applications were voted on and also passed. Arlen informed the club that all the times scheduled for the tournament will stand even though there is a different team house than originally planned. Arlen also went over other tournament tidbits. Nothing else was brought up so the meeting was adjourned.

Message from Arlen

Last month, at AMF Willow, during the meeting I failed to introduce a guest. The Reginal Manager for AMF, Mr. Dennis Cooper, was there to answer any questions about the change of houses for our tournament. I want to apologize to Mr. Cooper and to the members of our club for my oversight.

Attendance:

We had 64 Buzzards at the gathering in May, two that did not bowl and 3 pacers. We have had good turn outs in the last few months and hopefully we can keep it up. The next gathering is scheduled to take place on JUNE 5 @ DEL MAR LANES 3020 MANGUM (713-682-2506). The meeting begins at 1PM and bowling begins at 2 PM. Everyone must be signed up to bowl by 1:30. (REMEMBER TO PAY CASH ONLY FOR YOUR BOWLING AND BRACKETS)

Special Announcement (from Jackie Ferina at Irving)

Jeff Visger has offered to give a full hour massage at a Bowlers Rate of $40.00. He has been a Buzzard for 20 years and this rate is a special rate for Buzzards and their family. If you are interested please call me at 817-482-1719 or email me at TIGTAC13@aol.com and we can set things up. Jeff will be available on Friday Saturday and Sunday and possibly on Thursday if interested.

HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY
