Hello Fellow Buzzards: For those of you who did not attend last month's gathering, we will be holding our annual Buzzard Christmas party this month at Del Mar on the 4th of December. The meat will be provided but everyone is asked to bring a dish consisting of either a vegatable, salad or dessert. We will eat as soon as everyone has finished bowling. If you would like to donate a gift to the womens shelter for distribution to needy children, more information on this is later in the newsletter. Also, it is sanction card time again. Jackie won't be at the gathering this month but please be sure to show your card to her as soon as possible or bring a copy to the meeting and give it to Barbara. If for some reason you don’t have yours, check with your league secretary. That's it for now, so on with bowling!!! Minutes of Meeting: Arlen opened the meeting and Barbara presented the treasurer's report which passed. There were no new applications to vote on. Since I was not present at the last gathering, I am not sure of what was discussed but I do have the results for the nominating and rules committees and they will be listed later in the newsletter. Nothing else was brought up so the meeting was adjourned.
Attendance: We had 31 Buzzards at the gathering in November, 4 of which did not bowl. We have had good turn outs in the last few months and hopefully we can keep it up. The next gathering will be on DECEMBER 4th @ DEL MAR LANES 3020 MANGUM (713-682-2506). The meeting begins at noon, bowling begins at 1 PM and everyone must be signed up to bowl by 12:30. This month there will be no brackets run due to the party. Bowling Reminder: Please be sure to put your full name on the re-cap sheets each month. Also, make sure that the total number of splits and your games are totaled before you sign at the end of the three games. If you re-qualify, please make a note on the re-cap sheet and you can receive a Buzzard pin for $2.00 and be entered in the "THREE - IN - A - ROW" roll-off in January.
Also you must be signed up by 1:30 the day of our gathering. Late arrivals are not encouraged.

This means that SANCTION FEES are once again due. PLEASE, once you receive your new card for the 2005 - 2006 seasons, bring it to show me. January 2006 will be definitely the last month to bring it to show. Rules actually are that you not bowl unless proof of having paid for a new one is shown beginning in September. Anyone not bowling on a league please see me so that I can help you apply for a sanction card. Men: $ 16.00 Women: $ 14.50.
Rules Committee: There were no recomendations or changes made to the rules.
Nominating Committee: Recommendation for 2nd Vice President-Donna Castellese. All other positons to remain the same.

Dues: Annual dues are due in January, but Barbara will be accepting payments at our Christmas gathering.
Note from Arlen: Once again the Houston Chapter will be taking Christmas gifts to the Battered Womens shelter. If you bring a gift to the gathering, please indicate a boy/girl gift and the range of the age.
