CHIEF BUZZARD ARLEN DEASON

"Let there be no strangers in the BUZZARD CLUB - Only friends that have yet to meet"

Hello Fellow Buzzards:

Well, I don’t have a whole lot to say again this month except that it is hot as all heck out there and I hope everyone keeps cool in the months ahead. Speaking of hot, the tournament is upon us and that is where we need to turn up the heat with high scores and higher series. As always, lets have fun and enjoy the company the tournament brings. That’s really it for this month, so on with bowling!!!

Minutes of Meeting:

Arlen opened the meeting and presented the treasurer’s report which passed. Four new member applications were voted on and also passed. Arlen informed the club that there were 16 teams going to the tournament in Tyler. Nothing else was brought up so the meeting was adjourned.

Attendance:

We had 66 Buzzards at the gathering in June with one pacer. We have had good turn outs in the last few months and hopefully we can keep it up. Hope to see all of you on AUGUST 1st @ AMF WEST HOUSTON LANES 19936 SAUMS RD. KATY (281-578-9292). The meeting begins at 1PM and bowling begins AT 2 PM. Everyone must be signed up to bowl by 1:30. We are bowling 4 to a lane and if additional lanes are not available, Jackie will fill in additional bowlers. (REMEMBER TO PAY CASH ONLY FOR YOUR BOWLING AND BRACKETS, AS THIS IS HOW JACKIE AND DENNIS PAY OFF THE WINNERS.)

Trivia: In what country is the world’s largest bowling center and how many lanes does it have?

WATCH OUT TYLER, HERE WE COME!!
