Hello Buzzards:
We had 64 Buzzards, which 2 did not bowl and 5 pacers at the March event. We urge everyone
to come and enjoy the fun and fellowship created by the club.
We will bowl April 2nd at Meadowcreek Lanes, 2930 S. Richey, (713-946-9090). Bowling begins
at 2 P.M. Please sign up with Jackie by 1:30 P.M. and don't forget to get a door prize
ticket from Terrance. Remember our meeting starts at 1 P.M. (In the event our meeting ends
early, we may begin bowling before 2 P.M.) Please remember only four (4) bowlers to a lane.
If additional lanes are not permitted, Jackie will let you know so that five (5) can bowl per
lane. We voted several months ago to only have 4 per lane except in uncontrollable conditions.
This allows everyone to get finished at about the same time.

We approved one (1) transfer of membership at the March meeting. We welcome Ken Maidlow. Ken
transferred from the Irving Chapter. Please come join us for a fun afternoon of bowling soon!
Your spouse or friend may come and bowl with us as a pacer for $8.00. Who knows...they might
even qualify as well.
I understand that Muriel Fry has been under the weather. Hope to see you soon.
The Cookbook was approved at the March meeting. I would like a recipe deadline of the May event.
We would like to try and go to print in June so that we can possibly have them for the August
tournament in Conroe. I will be calling on the committee soon for another meeting. This is when
the real work begins.
Our June event will have to be moved from Delmar Lanes due to a conflict with the HBA Men's City
Tournament. It was discussed that if we can get the right price, we may bowl at Copperfield
Lanes. I will keep you posted as to the final decision.
TIME IS RUNNING OUT!! The deadline to get your games in for the Annual Tournament is nearing.
Our deadline is May, so if you are not sure how many games you have bowled, call Jackie...
Especially if you want to bowl the tournament in August. Entry forms will be arriving soon.
Start thinking about forming your teams now!! Also, please make sure your entry is completely
filled out, neatly and legible, and all fees are attached, or they will be returned to you. If
you have any questions with the entries, please ask an officer for help.
A NOTE FROM THE PRES.: Everyone who bowls on two teams needs to make sure that the team
scheduling does not conflict with each other or your singles and doubles. Also, it must be
noted on each entry that you are bowling on a second team and the name of the other team. He has
also suggested that since we are so close to Conroe that, if possible, each of us schedule our
events on Friday, early Saturday, and late on Sunday so the out-of-towners have better travel
times.
