Dallas Buzzard Club Newsletter for August-September 2009
Hello Fellow and Lady Buzzards Well it’s time to start another year of bowling and I hope everyone is ready for the new season. Our club is really growing and I look forward to a great year. I would like to see our club host at least one 9 pin no tap tournament this year to raise money for our tournament fund. I know it’s going to be a while before we actually host the tournament again, but I would like to be completely ready financially.We had eight teams to represent our club this year at the BCOA Tournament in Ft. Smith and we did very well. If you would like to see the results you can visit the website at WWW.buzzardclub.org. I think Ft. Smith put on a wonderful tournament and I personally would like to congratulate them for doing so.
This past Sunday we had our installation dinner and I would like to thank our 2nd Vice President Jerry Elisha Sr. who did a great job with all the arrangements. If you weren’t there you missed having a great meal and a good time with your fellow and lady buzzard members.
Our King and Queen Buzzard this year are:
King Buzzard with 55 splits is Ralph Bartley and our Queen Buzzard is Stephanie Ponder with 53. Congratulations to both of them.
At our July meeting at Bowl-a-Rama we had 42 bowlers and 9 guests. We had great showing.
